So exciting to be able to dye onto one of my favourite worsted spun bases. This beautiful longwool blend takes the dye readily and has been fantastic for painting variegated colourways as well as the usual lovely semi-solids and tonals. Also available in 50g and 100g single skeins and sets and mini skein bundles.
Inspired by the woods along the North Devon/North Cornwall border. You will receive 5 x 20g DK mini skeins.
Yarn: John Arbon's Devonia DK. Exmoor Blueface, Devon Bluefaced Leicester and Devon Wensleydale. Pure Devon woolly goodness.
Mass/length: 100g/ 225m
Dyed with logwood, fustic and weld. The shawl below was knitted with these minis plus a set of 'Bloodwood' held double and some undyed Devonia DK. The pattern is Drachenfels by Melanie Berg which is easily adapted to DK yarn or any mini sets.
Saturation: mixed
Country of Origin: wool sourced and spun in Devon.
Care: cool, gentle handwash with pH neutral soap and rinse. Blot gently with a towel and block to shape. Yarn has been rinsed clear after dyeing but leave-in wool washes can cause bleeding.
