It’s exciting to be able to dye onto one of my favourite worsted spun bases.  This beautiful longwool blend takes the dye readily and has been fantastic for painting variegated colourways as well as the usual lovely semi-solids and tonals.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Devonia for its longevity and adaptability.  Whether you need a yarn for texture, cables or colourwork the finished project will look truly fantastic.

This base is also available in 50g single skeins and mini skein bundles.

Yarn: John Arbon's Devonia DK.  Exmoor Blueface, Devon Bluefaced Leicester and Devon Wensleydale.  Pure Devon woolly goodness.

Mass/length: 100g/ 225m

Saturation: medium to dark

Country of Origin: wool sourced and spun in Devon.

The S/S 2021 collection came about using dried dye stuffs gathered last autumn. Dyers as well as food growers have a 'hungry gap' season so I used these leaves and husks along with stored exhausts to develop this harmonious palette inspired by the shingle on one of our city beaches. The idea of the added pop of blue-green came from the lakes and icecaps in Chile.

The ‘Forgotten Corner’ collection is a reflection on the summer of 2021 spent in the borderlands of Devon and Cornwall, swimming, walking and exploring the beauty on our own doorstep.

Dyed with oak leaves, chestnut husks, dyers greenweed, Saxon blue, logwood, alkanet root, lavender cotton flower, goldenrod, miscellaneous red exhausts.

Country of Origin: wool sourced and spun in Devon.

Care: cool, gentle handwash with pH neutral soap and rinse.  Blot gently with a towel and block to shape.  Yarn has been rinsed clear after dyeing but leave-in wool washes can cause bleeding.

Effort is made to capture colours as accurately as possible but monitors etc differ.  Please message if you would like to discuss colours.
