A lovely set of 13 minis dedicated to my fabulous and much loved knitting group. Ideal for colourwork accessories or as an initial foray into the wonderful world of harmonious plant-dyed yarns.
These large mini sets take weeks to dye and skein up but I think they are worth the effort.
Yarn: BFL/Masham 4ply blend. An excellent entry point into British breed wools, it is lovely and soft and a dyers' favourite as the grey base lends depth to the final colourway.
Mass/length: 120g/ 480m
Colours: Left to right in 2nd photo 'Morgan's Purple' - Yvonne 'Lorenzi' - Charlotte 'Mid Century Sofa' - Becks 'Whale' - Stacey 'Greenstone' - Kathy 'Staghorn' - Katie 'Cheesy Leeks' - Lizzie 'vmars' - Amanda 'Annie's New Cords' - Annie 'Teign Poncho' - Ella 'Crafting for Climate' - Charlotte 'My Beating Heart' - Sinead 'Jam First' - Jacki
Dyed with logwood, brazilwood, Saxon blue, chlorophyllin, lavender cotton, weld, goldenrod, madder, sorghum, cutch and lac.
Pattern inspiration: Litmus cowl by Amy Florence (grey background colour 'Nudie Rudie' available here), The PPS by Louise Tilbrook or any 4ply colourwork accessory patterns.
Country of Origin: wool sourced in Britain and spun in Yorkshire.
Care: cool, gentle handwash with pH neutral soap and rinse. Blot gently with a towel and block to shape. Yarn has been rinsed clear after dyeing but leave-in wool washes can cause bleeding.
Effort is made to capture colours as accurately as possible but monitors etc differ. Please message if you would like to discuss colours.
