A lovely pairing of textures; use separately or held together for a luxurious cowl or other accessory. You will receive two skeins of yarn which have been dyed together to provide a good colour match. The suri alpaca silk is a good alternative to silk mohair.
Yarn: a soft but durable high twist merino 4ply and beautiful Suri Alpaca Silk laceweight.
Mass/length: Merino 4ply 55g/220m, Suri Alpaca Silk Laceweight 25g/150m.
Dyed with Dartmoor fern tops, Saxon blue, Welcombe nettles, Plymouth ferns, avocado.
Colourways: Nettled - pale sage green, Miss Rouse - very pale chalky pink.
Pattern inspiration: I knitted a Bobble Cowl by Joji Locatelli with both yarns held double. There is enough here for a single looped cowl.
Country of Origin: South Africa, Switzerland, South America.
Care: cool, gentle handwash with pH neutral soap and rinse. Blot gently with a towel and block to shape. Yarn has been rinsed clear after dyeing but leave-in wool washes can cause bleeding.
