This BFL fingering weight is a strong, plump, high twist yarn. The Blue Faced Leicester takes the plant dyes beautifully to produce bright, clear semi-solid, tonal and variegated skeins.

This lovely soft 2 ply BFL is ideal for shawls as it has lustre and drape and would show lace stitches well. It is also ideal for sweaters such as The Lovenote by Tin Can Knits and Ranunculus by Midori Hirose held together with mohair/silk lace weight or suri alpaca/silk lace weight. For socks I would recommend a tight gauge and reinforcing toes and heels with a bit of silk or mohair to prolong their life.

Care: cool, gentle handwash with pH neutral soap and rinse. Blot gently with a towel and block to shape. Yarn has been rinsed clear after dyeing but leave-in wool washes can cause bleeding.
